Cocoer was a Trooper of the Tanith First and Only Imperial Guard Regiment.[1a]

Biography

Cocoer was one of the original Tanith members of the regiment.[1a] In the closing stages of the Siege of Vervunhive, Cocoer was one of thirty Tanith selected personally by Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt to take part in Operation Heironymo, the mission to infiltrate The Spike and assassinate Heritor Asphodel.[1b]

Later, when the Tanith First were deployed on Hagia, they had to defend the Shrinehold of Saint Sabbat from an Infardi army. At one point in the battle, Cocoer was badly wounded from shrapnel thrown by an AT70 Reaver shell that killed Filain and Mazzedo.[2]

He managed to survive, however, and went on to take part in the regiment's actions on Phantine.[3a] Most notably, Cocoer was again personally selected for a special mission by Colonel-Commissar Gaunt: Operation Larisel, the mission to infiltrate Ouranberg and assassinate the leader of the Blood Pact divisions on Phantine, Sagittar Slaith.[3b] He was assigned to team Larisel 4 under Scout-Sergeant Mkoll alongside Nour, Rilke and the Skyborne Specialist Babbist.[3c]

Unfortunately, during the approach to Ouranberg, Larisel 4's Marauder was shot down by the city's air defences with all hands lost[3c][3d] (save Mkoll, who managed to save himself with his grav-chute).[3e]
