The General Structure

The Codex Tau is an expansion book for the Games Workshop table top game Warhammer 40,000. This book was published for the first time in 2001, and is for the 3rd Edition of Warhammer 40,000.

The book has 64 pages (not including cover, rear and the inside cover and rear) and the cover is printed in colour while the majority of the book remains in black and white, although there are usually several pages of colour images of miniatures.

Army List

This book contains a complete army list for using a Tau army. Further special rules, equipment as well as this is included.

Background

This book contains background information and fiction on: The Tau history, the Defence of Fio'vash, Tau language and alphabet, the Damocles Gulf Crusade, Tau letters to one another, a map of Tau space and various battles.

Hobby Section

This book contains hobby information on: Building and painting your miniatures, colour schemes, what to collect, information on how each unit works and a showcase of models.
