Cardinals Crimson
The Cardinals Crimson[1], who also known as the Crimson Cardinals[2], are the the most mysterious of all the Ecclesiarchy's many Orders and they are responsible for the training of Crusaders.[1]
Description
The Cardinals' Crusaders only serve Imperials they deem to be worthy of their service and will approach these individuals unbidden. The Militant-Apostolic Geestan was one such individual and the Cardinals' Crusaders protected him, during the Indomitus Crusade until his death from old age. They would also serve Geestan's successor, Mathieu, during the Indomitus Crusade and the Plague Wars. When Lord Commander Guilliman asked Mathieu about them, the Militant-Apostolic claimed that the Crusaders had deemed him worthy and that they were a gift from the Emperor. When Guilliman asked them if this was true, the Crusaders did not answer him. Mathieu then explained that upon placing themselves at his service, the Crusaders had taken a vow of silence. They would not speak unless the Emperor himself demanded them to do so.[2]
