The Cult of the Angel of Fire was a Cult active on the worlds of the Karsk System in early M41.[1]

Forsaking the Imperial Cult, the leaders of the Cult of the Angel of Fire said that they were in contact with a being known as the Angel of Fire, who in turn was a messenger of the Emperor. The Cult gained a popular following on the worlds of the Karsk system, overthrowing Planetary Governors and installing theocratic regimes which burnt its opponents alive in cages.[1]

The Cult of the Angel of Fire would oppose the Macharian Crusade, putting up fierce resistance against the invading Imperial Guard forces. However as defeat loomed near, the Priests of the Angel of Fire succeeded in opening a Warp rift. Through it emerged a Lord of Change, and it was revealed that the entire Cult was just a Tzeentchian front. Macharius's forces managed to defeat the Daemons and close the rift, and afterwards the Cult of the Angel of Fire crumbled. It is unclear if the Cultists and its leaders were ever aware that their entire faith was a deception by the Chaos God.[1]
