Dalin Larsekson, the Mad Mechanic of Red Ruin, is a Charter Master in the Ironhead Squat Prospector Jardlan clan on Necromunda.[1]

History

He once resided within Jardlan's Holdfast, but was asked to leave when his engineering projects began to routinely damage it. Taking his work and followers with him, Larsekson came to occupy his clan's remote outpost in the Red Ruin mountain. It was while he was there, that the Charter Master met the Squat Bounty Hunter Grendl Grendlsen, who told him of the treasures located on a spaceship within Hive Primus' Sump settlement, Heretic's Hole. Most importantly among them, Grendlsen suspected, was an Ancestral Shard of the ancient Squat Mining Charters. Upon hearing this, Larsekson sought to claim it and convinced a group of his followers to aid him in doing so.[1]

With Herga serving as his second-in-command, the Charter Master led his group aboard a number of Dust Crawlers to Hive Primus. Once there, they would travel to the Hive's Sump and attempt to infiltrate the Heretic's Hole's spaceship. However Larsekson's group was spotted by its ruler Ursan Graves, who led a number of his forces to confront them. Graves was a powerful Wyrd who had turned Heretic's Hole into a sanctuary for his kind and feared the invaders were agents of Necromunda's Imperial Commander Gerontius Helmawr. This led Graves to warn Larsekson to leave his settlement, but the Charter Master refused and a fight broke out between the two forces. Though it ended with the Charter Master's group retreating, Larsekson would not relent in his quest for the Ancestral Shard.[1]

They would try again and succeed in cutting their way into spaceship, due to Herga's use of a Vartijan Exo-Driller. The Charter Master and Graves' forces would clash once more, but during the battle Larsekson found and fled with the Ancestral Shard. His surviving followers joined him, though many had died; including Herga who gave her life, so Larsekson could escape. While his quest was now over, Larsekson was far from home and his adventures in Hive Primus' Underhive were just beginning...[1]
