Droggorn was an Ork-held world that was invaded by the Space Wolves and Thousand Sons Legions during The Great Crusade.[1]
The two Legions fought well together during the invasion, however at a critical moment the Thousand Sons' Primarch, Magnus, suddenly ordered his Legion to withdraw from the battle. Magnus' reason for doing so was his discovery of a cache of ancient artefacts on Droggorn's moon, and he reasoned that the Space Wolves would be able to achieve victory against the Orks on their own. While he was correct, the Thousand Sons' sudden departure caused a number of the Space Wolves to die at the Orks' hands before the Xenos were finally defeated.[1]
