Extraction Rigs are massive Imperial structures, that are used to harvest various natural resources from beneath a world's surface. These resources will then be transferred elsewhere across the world's surface, through fuel pipes.[1]
One such resource is Promethium, which can cause Extraction Rigs to emit smoke clouds, noxious fumes or charged fumes. Noxious fumes are toxic and can lead to acidic fallout, while charged fumes can cause an ionized atmosphere, that will prevent any communication equipment from working.[1]
