Forge World Variants

Variants are differently armed and designed versions of standard vehicles - such as the Leman Russ Annihilator.[1] Each forge world or production world also produce their own "Patterns" of a specific vehicle.

Variants

Armageddon

A hive world — Armageddon tank variants are designed to suit the world's warfare against Orks and the world's harsh desert environment. Armageddon variants are:

  • Armageddon Pattern Basilisk
  • Armageddon Pattern Medusa

Artemia

Artemia can be characterised by their work on Hellhounds. They only produce 1 variant:

  • Artemia Pattern Hellhound

Graia

Graia can also be characterised by their work on Hellhounds. They only produce 1 variant:

  • Graia Pattern Hellhound

Gryphonne IV

Gryphonne IV was a very important Forge World, producing many variants. They can be characterised by their work on offensive vehicles, including:

  • Gryphonne IV Conqueror turret
  • Gryphonne IV Vanquisher turret
  • Gryphonne IV Exterminator turret

Gryphonne IV was destroyed by Hive Fleet Leviathan after it was cut off by the cordon created by Lord Inquisitor Kryptman even though it was defended by the War Gryphons titan legion the planet was scoured clean within a few days.

Mars

Mars is the center of the Adeptus Mechanicus and the most important Forge World. Mars pattern Leman Russ Battle Tanks include:

  • Mars Alpha Pattern Leman Russ - extra internal space for command equipment
  • Ryza/Alpha Pattern Leman Russ - Ryza turret/Mars chassis

Ryza

Ryza is one of the greatest Forge Worlds in the Imperium, making many different variations as well as building some of the oldest and most complicated designs. They can be characterised by their work on ancient designs and the Standard Leman Russ, including:

  • Ryza Pattern Leman Russ turret
  • Ryza Pattern Exterminator turret

Stygies VIII

Stygies VIII is another major Forge World, characterised by their work on rarer vehicles, producing vehicles such as:

  • Stygies VIII Pattern Vanquisher turret
  • Stygies VIII Pattern Exterminator turret

Vanaheim

Vanaheim is a hive world, characterised by their work on artillery vehicles, producing:

  • Vanaheim Pattern Medusa turret
  • Vanaheim Patter Basilisk gun shield
  • Vanaheim Pattern Griffon Heavy Mortar
