Ghodri Falsehood

The Ghodri Falsehood was a battle waged sometime after the formation of the Great Rift.[1]

Overview

The conflict was waged as part of the greater Dark Eldar Civil War between the pro and anti Ynnari factions of Commorragh and Asdrubael Vect enlisted the aid of Urien Rakarth and the Prophets of Flesh. Rakarth had since developed a new punishment for his Coven's foes - warping their bodies until they looked, walked, and even smelt like a Human. To the Dark Eldar, this is a horrifying prospect and Rakarth was eager to enact this delightful procedure on a large scale and Vect gave him such an opportunity.[1]

Meanwhile on the Human world of Ghodri Sekmet, Yvraine was preaching to a hidden group of Alaitoc Pathfinders high in the peaks. To the surprise of the Eldar however, local Imperial Guard forces on the world discovered their location and struck at their outpost. In a well-organized pincer assault, the Eldar found their line of retreat cut off by artillery fire. The Ynnari and Alaitoc forces fell back to their Webway Portal - only to find a strike force of Dark Eldar mercenaries bursting through. Caught between two foes, the Ynnari were decimated. Only the Yncarne, summoned by so much death in one place, allowed the command element of the Ynnari to escape. In truth, many of the Imperial Guard forces consisted of Dark Eldar mutated into Humans by Rakarth.[1]
