Gideon was the Governor of the planet Solypsis during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.^[1]

Biography

At one point in the Crusade, Warmaster Macaroth sought to use Solypsis, a rare Imperial bastion within the Sabbat Cluster, as a mustering ground for the operation to invade the Cabal system.^[3] However, Gideon had been acting strangely for the previous year, growing reclusive and oppressive. There were even rumours in the courts of Solypsis that Gideon had developed psychic abilities. These were indicative that the touch of Chaos was upon Gideon and Macaroth was forced to mobilise his armies to take Solypsis, lest his entire campaign falter.^[1]

The planet was devastated in the action, with billions dead. Gideon himself was captured by agents of the Order of the Pious Cross in the Battle of Mawson. From there, Gideon's fate is unknown; rumours state that Inquisitor Vilhiem delivered the renegade governor to Lord Thoth.^[2]
