Glory Eternal was a Word Bearers Battle Barge and the flagship of the Chaos Lord Amatnim Ur-Nabas Lash's armada.[1a]

History

It was originally part of the Ultramarines Chapter's fleet, before Amatnim personally led an attack upon it and seized the Battle Barge from them. Since then, the Glory Eternal had been corrupted by the Warp, which caused it to grow vastly larger than its original size. Under Amatnim's command the Battle Barge was converted into a cathedral venerating the Chaos Gods and the Glory Eternal unceasingly emitted messages of malign devotion to them. These were sent across all communication wavelengths and played havoc, on any Imperial warships that had their voxs open to receive them. The Glory Eternal would later be at the head of a vast Word Bearers warhost, led by Amatnim, that invaded the Imperial Odoacer System, sometime after the Great Rift's creation[1a]. The Chaos Lord had been directly ordered by the Dark Council to free a captured Word Bearer held on the System's capital Almace[1b] - but it all ended in disaster[1c]. An Indomitus Crusade strike force, led by the Imperial Fists Lieutenant Heyd Calder, had heard the world's plea for aid and were able to fortify it, before the Word Bearers arrived[1d]. While the warhost was still successful in invading the world, the Imperials were able to rally and Amatnim and the majority of his forces on Almace were killed. As for the Glory Eternal, it was destroyed in the world's orbit[1c], by the White Scars Battle Barge Silent Horseman and the Imperial Fists Strike Cruiser Capulus.[1e]
