Gnarlwoods are a type of Daemonic tree, that grow in an infinite number of groves within the Garden of Nurgle.[1]
Description
When a Daemon of Nurgle is destroyed, they return to the Garden and emerge from a Gnarlwood's bough, in a slick birthing sac. The now miniature-sized Daemons, dream and grow from within the sacs, as they wait until Nurgle decides to release them. There is no set duration as to when this will occur and some Daemons, who have displeased the Chaos God, can be left waiting a significant amount of time, before being reborn. Others are never given Nurgle's approval to do so and eventually these Daemons suffer a True Death, after their birthing sacs dry out.[1]
