Helios is an Imperial Forge World, known for being the original birthplace of the Land Raider Helios.^[1]

During the infamous Siege of Helios in 857.M38, the Red Scorpions Chapter helped the planet to throw out the Orks invasion. In gratitude they were granted with the secret of Helios pattern missile launcher. Henceforth Red Scorpion armed their Land Raiders with this launcher and always came to help citizens of Helios from the ongoing ork attacks.^[2]

It is known that Blood Angels' 2nd Company fought for gas refineries on this planet with some unknown enemy.^[3]
