Ignacious Pell
Ignacious Pell was an Imperial Navy Admiral Aquillant, who had an illustrious career.[1]
History
In M42, he was among the Imperial forces that defended the Choral Engine psychic beacon on the Malak System world Malakbael. Doom came to the System, however, when the Daemon Primarch Angron led a large Blood Wave to destroy the Engine. The Daemon Primarch soon rampaged through the Imperium's forces, to invade Malakbael and Pell led his remaining warships to reinforce the fleets defending it. They were too late though, as when the Admiral's fleet reached the world, Angron destroyed the Choral Engine. The resulting psychic explosion not only shattered Malakbael, which caused devastating losses upon Pell's fleet, but also unleashed Khorne's Murder-Curse Warp plague upon the Malak System. Those infected by it were stricken with murderous bloodlust and rage, which caused them to attack those around them, including their allies. The Admiral's flagship suffered under the Murder-Curse as well and Pell's illustrious career ended, when he was eaten alive by his own rabid crew.[1]
