Ju

Ju is a Fire Warrior of the T'au Empire, whose spiritual intensity and constant preaching of the sanctity of the Greater Good has greatly irked her fellow Fire Warriors. Despite the collective apathy towards Ju, she has been good friends with her fellow Fire Warriors La'Kais and Y'hol since they began their training together.[1a]

Biography

When Meyloch Severus, Planetary Governor of Dolumar IV, had the Ethereal Ko'vash captured from the nearby T'au Sept World of Kuu'lan[1c], Ju was part of the forces sent aboard the T'au warship Or'es Tash'var to attack the planet to free Ko'vash (though she and her fellow Fire Warriors were unaware of their mission at first). She was part of the same Fire Warrior team as La'Kais and Y'hol when the T'au attacked Lettica, a major city of Dolumar IV[1a], in what would later be discovered to have been a feint attack. She survived the hectic battle and was successfully evacuated when the 19th Glamorgian Regiment of the Imperial Guard began to overwhelm the T'au's forces.[1b]

Once back aboard the Or'es Tash'var she would later help to defend it from a boarding attack from Battlefleet Ultima Primus[1d], launched after La'Kais had successfully rescued Ko'vash from a prison complex on Dolumar IV, the main target of the T'au's attack on the planet.[1c] During the battle that engulfed the warship, Ju led a Fire Warrior team against the numerous Storm Troopers sent to capture both the warship and Ko'vash and would go on to save La'Kais's life by killing the last surviving Space Marine of a Raptors squadron he had attacked.[1d]

Afterwards, T'au reinforcements arrived above Dolumar IV and began attacking the Battlefleet, allowing the T'au to successfully board the Imperial flagship the Enduring Blade.[1d] This forced the outnumbered Battlefleet to open peace talks with the T'au. Ju would survive the subsequent battles which saw Meyloch Severus revealed as a heretic, when he unleashed a Chaos warhost during the peace talks[1e], which resulted in the T'au and Imperium working together[1f] to defeat his plot to free the Lord of Change Tarkh'ax on Dolumar IV. Though Ko'vash was killed in the process, Severus was defeated and Tarkh'ax banished back to the Warp, mostly due to the efforts of La'Kais. When the T'au peacefully left Dolumar IV, to return to the Empire, Ju and Y'hol were brought by their commander El'Lusha to Or'es Tash'var's medical bay to visit La'Kais. They were left shocked and saddened to see their friend had been left a broken shell of his former self by his experiences fighting on Dolumar IV.[1g]
