The Keshig were the fighting elite of the White Scars and personal bodyguards to Primarch Jaghatai Khan during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.

Overview
Consisting of several squads of Terminators, many consisted of veterans who had fought alongside Jaghatai on Chogoris.[1]
In addition to the main body of Legion Keshig, the individual Brotherhoods of the White Scars possessed Keshig. To differentiate them from the main Keshig, these formations were known as minghan-keshig (minghan being the Khorchin word for Brotherhood).[2]
Sub-formations of the Keshig existed which included the Golden Keshig and the Ebon Keshig.

Trivia
Historically, the Keshig served as the royal guard to the rulers of the Mongol Empire.
