Klaudis is an Ultramarines Primaris Veteran Sergeant and is also among the forces of Indomitus Crusade Fleet Quartus's Battle Group Jovia, that have been corrupted by Khorne's Murder-Curse.[1]

History

His downfall began, when Klaudis' squadron was serving in Jovia's Task Force IX, which had been sent to reclaim the Imperium Sanctus world Garvetha Primus and its system from Heretics. They invaded the world and soon the Task Force needed to only conquer the city of Deng-Var, to make Garvetha Primus' the Imperium's once more. This would then allow the world's system to be opened up for further invasions by the Task Force. However it was as they were fighting to take back the city, that the Daemon Primarch Angron destroyed the Choral Engine on the Imperium Nihilus world Malakbael, which the majority of Fleet Quartus' forces had been defending. The psychic beacon's subsequent explosion, then unleashed Khorne's Murder-Curse Warp plague, within Malakbael's system. However due to its Battle Groups sharing psychic channels with each other, the Murder-Curse was able to spread to them all, no matter where they were located within the Galaxy.[1]

Because of this, the Warp plague soon reached Task Force IX and those who were infected by it, immediately became servants of the Blood God. Now filled with murderous bloodlust and rage, they then fell upon anyone that was near them, including their former allies. Klaudis was among the Murder-Curse's victims, but he was more lucid than most of the other infected. For reasons unknown, those who have this symptom are somehow able to get the animalistic victims of the Warp plague to follow their orders. This allowed Klaudis to make the infected members of the Veteran Sergeant's squadron obey his commands and he led them in ambushing and destroying the Task Force IX Warhound, Venatoris Brutalor. Despite his lucidity, however, Klaudis' mind boils with rage, to the point that he no longer remembers the identity of the head he now carries with him - only that it is a worthy offering to Khorne. Two thoughts still have absolute clarity to the Veteran Sergeant, though. The first is that he will slaughter the weak and lead the strong. The second is that he will do so in Khorne's name.[1]
