Korosan[2]

Korosan Myrlath[1] was a Praetor in the Sons of Horus Legion, during the Horus Heresy[2] and later escaped into the Eye of Terror when the Traitor Legions were defeated on Terra.[1]

History

During the Legion Wars that followed, he became a Chaos Lord of some prominence. Exposure to the Warp ultimately resulted in him undergoing mutation, fusing with his armor. As the conflict wore on, Myrlath became one of the few Sons of Horus Lords, who refused to join Abaddon's Black Legion. This caused Abaddon to send the Sorcerer Iskandar Khayon as an envoy to Myrlath's Homeworld to ask the Chaos Lord to join the Black Legion, despite knowing that Myrlath had already joined the Chaos Lord Thagus Daravek's Legion Host Warband. When Khayon made his offer to the Chaos Lord, Myrlath refused and told the Sorcerer that he did not want to become Abaddon's slave and then ordered Khayon to be decapitated; as Daravek had put a heavy price on the Sorcerer's head. However Myrlath soon discovered that it was not Khayon's head that hit the ground, but the empty helm of a Rubric Marine that the Sorcerer had been psychically controlling. The real Khayon promptly informed Abaddon, that the Chaos Lord had refused his offer and the Lord of the Black Legion ordered that Myrlath's Warband be destroyed for his defiance. The Black Legion then mercilessly bombarded Myrlath's homeworld before invading it and completely destroying his Warband. The Chaos Lord was taken prisoner though and Abaddon gave Myrlath to the Aphotic Blade, who impaled and crucified him upon their battle standard. Black Legion's Servitors then intravenously fed Myrlath the bodily waste of the Legion's slaves to keep him alive. The broken Chaos Lord survived like this for five miserable months before finally dying.[1]
