Luminous Reproach
The Luminous Reproach is a master-crafted holy sword that was blessed by the hand of Sebastian Thor. It has had a legendary service in the hands of the Inquisition for millennia.[1a]
History
Crafted in 362.M36 by the legendary smith Iriactius, it was thrice blessed by the hand of Sebastian Thor himself, during the later years of his reign. In the millennia since its naming, the blade has more than lived up to its legendary reputation; in the hands of renowned Inquisitors it has delivered numerous victories against the enemies of mankind.[1a] It was thought lost to the warp, after disappearing in the hands of the great Daemonhunter Inquisitor Adorjin, last seen aboard a blackship. Six centuries later, it was relocated by agents of the Inquisition, in the heart of the space hulk Twilight. The agents of the Inquisition had to retrieve the sword quickly as Battlefleet Calixis had to destroy the space hulk before it collided with the planet Scintilla, the sector capitol of the Calixis Sector.[Needs Citation]
They fought their way through the space hulk, battling the Dark Eldar of the Kabal of Crimson Woes,[1c] and found the Luminous Reproach still wielded by the deceased Inquisitor. It was buried deep in the heart of the Daemon Prince Nekaybraianon,[1b] a daemon Adorjin had spent her career as an Inquisitor tracking down, after it had used her to commit terrible deeds, by possessing her as a child.[1a] Retrieving the sword, the agents had to battle the pursuing Crimson Woes, before being able to escape the space hulk, right before it was destroyed by Battlefleet Calixis. Safely back in the hands of the Inquisition, the Luminous Reproach once more serves the Imperium.[1c]
