Maeve
Lady Maeve is a Chaos Knight of House Grendyl.[1]
History
In M42, she became a commander of one of Abaddon the Despoiler's Ark of Omens, after Maeve pledged to use it to track down one of a series of artefacts known as a Key-Fragment. Each Fragment had a unique warp signature and Maeve's Ark tracked its location within the Polyhadra System. She believed a ramshackle Ork empire held the world the Key-Fragment was located on, but when Maeve and her accompanying Balefleet arrived there, she found a thriving Leagues of Votann enclave of the Greater Thurian League instead. The only signs of the Orks were drifting wrecks and the world the Key-Fragment was located on had been taken apart by the machines of the Thurian League. Rechecking her Ark of Omen led Maeve to discover the Fragment's location now led to the distant galactic core, but she did not leave to pursue it. Instead, her twisted honor code demanded Maeve punish the Thurian League for their interference in her hunt. Soon afterwards, savage battle raged across every surviving world in the Polyhadra System.[1]
