Mefridus
Mefridus is a Black Templars Castellan, who is considered to be among the Chapter's greatest heroes.[1]
History
In late M41, Mefridus led a Crusade that destroyed the crystalline Xenos species that dwelled in the Garon Nebula. He nearly met his end, during the Crusade's final battle, however, when the Castellan was attacked by a giant warrior of the species. The Initiate Rammius saved his life by slaying the Xenos though and in thanks, Mefridus made his savior a Sword Brethren. Rammius would then serve in the Castellan's household for 70 years, before he asked to join the Ghoul Stars Crusade. This was led by the newly elected High Marshal Helbrecht, however, which would mean Rammius would leave the Castellan's service. Though he was saddened to see one of his most valued warriors go, Mefridus ultimately consented to Rammius' request.[1]
