The Omega Codex was a Space Wolves Legion text, which contained the battle tactics they learned while fighting the Thousand Sons, during the Battle of Prospero.[1]

History

The Codex was intended to aid in defeating other Legions, should the Emperor ever decree their destruction. As the Thousand Sons had been declared traitors afterwards, only the Space Wolves had such knowledge, during the Great Crusade. The Codex's existence, however, was a direct threat to the other Legions and they acted upon learning of it. Subsequently, almost all of the Legions petitioned the Emperor to have the Codex destroyed and the Space Wolves censured for its creation. Only the Night Lords, Alpha Legion and Iron Hands did not, as they instead demanded the Codex's knowledge be shared with all of the Legions. In the end, however, the Space Wolves only shared the Omega Codex with the Sons of Horus and the Warmaster himself. It was as the Horus Heresy began, that the Space Wolves realized the error they had made in doing so.[1]
