The Order of Interrogation[2b] was a new order of Remembrancers, that Kyril Sindermann formed within the Imperial Palace while Terra was being invaded, during the Horus Heresy.[1a]

History

This was done with the Primarch Dorn's permission[1a], after Sindermann agreed to the condition that he would no longer spread the teachings of the Lectitio Divinitatus[2a]. The Order of Interrogation was charged with recording the events of the Battle for Terra and with interrogating various Imperials who took part in it[1b]. This was so that the battle's history could be preserved for future generations of the Imperium to study[2a]. The Primarch Dorn ordered the Hurscarl Diamantis to aid the Order in this task[1a] and he supplied them with various materials. This included folders filled with places for the Interrogators to visit, disposition permits, travel waivers and grants of authority so they could be dispersed among the defending Imperial forces. While the Interrogators were free to chose where they wanted to go, the Hurscarl Diamantis informed Sindermann he did not have that option. This was done on the orders of Dorn himself, who had specific places he wanted Sindermann to go to. Dorn did permit Sindermann, however, to take other Interrogates with him on these missions. While Euphrati Keeler was also a member of the Order, she was held within the Blackstone prison, due to her heresy involving the Lectitio Divinitatus as well. Her role as an Interrogator did not supersede the Sigillite's standing order that Keeler not be allowed to leave the prison. She would be permitted to leave her cell and interview the other prisoners held within Blackstone, though. However the Custodian Amon Tauromachian would always be by her side, to ensure Keeler did not try to escape.[1b]
