Pacificus War

The Pacificus War was a conflict fought by the Astra Militarum in M36 during the Age of High Imperialism. Imperial forces were led by Warmaster Terfuek.^[1]

Overview

The battles fought during this war utilised more men than was conventional by mid M41. One notable battle, the Battle of Corossa, involved the deployment of four million Imperial Guardsmen, of whom only ninety thousand survived. Their sacrifice allowed for an Imperial victory in a battle deemed unwinnable by even the Warmaster's own advisors. Despite the extremely high casualty rate, the Warmaster did not regret the loss of life, viewing it as necessary to serve the Emperor and preserve the Imperium.^[1]
