The Palace of Bones is a massive structure, that serves as the power centre of Necromunda's House Cawdor and it is located within Hive Primus' Hive City.[1]

Description

It is the home of House Cawdor's Thanes and they conduct the Houses' affairs from the Chamber of the Thane, located in the Palace's center. Tattered relics, of significance to the Redemption Cult, hang from the Palace's every arch and spire, while statues, depicting legendary Saints and heroes, gaze pitilessly upon any who would walk its halls. The Palace itself is modeled after Hive Temenos' Grand Cathedral of the Emperor Deified and it is built from billions of bones, taken from House Cawdor's faithful. This is the greatest honor for a follower of the Hive World's Cult of Redemption and they endeavor to have their remains become a part of the Palace. Though only the truly fortunate will have their skulls added, to the Palace, instead of a finger bone or rib. Due to its sacredness, only the most worthy servants of the Redemption are permitted to enter the Palace of Bones. Many more are merely allowed to gaze upon its great gates as a reward for some service to the House's Thane. Even the Ministorum must ask the Thane's permission to enter, though the division between the Imperial Creed and the Redemption, usually means this is a rare occurrence.[1]
