Paragonian Regiments
The Paragonian Regiments[1f] are Imperial Guard Regiments raised from the inhabited moons of the Imperial world of Paragon VI, in particular the planet's sixth moon.[1d]
Contents
Overview
The sixth moon is an Industrial World which reveres both the Imperial Creed and the Cult Mechanicus in equal measure.[1b][1c][2a] As a result the Paragonian regiments include Mechanised Infantry and Armoured Regiments.[1b] The Paragonians are even known to field entire companies of Super Heavy Tanks.[1b][1c]
It is considered a great honour to be given command of a Super Heavy Tank, to the extent that the commander of one of these great machines is referred to as an Honoured Lieutenant and the commanding officer of a Super-heavy Tank Company as a whole is referred to as an Honoured Captain.[1c][2a]
Due to the machine-piety of Paragonian culture, the crews of Paragonian tanks are often chosen based on the wishes of the tanks' Machine Spirits.[1f][1g][2a] It is not uncommon for a Paragonian tank to be crewed by Guardsmen who have been specially selected and transferred from other Paragonian regiments, or even non-Paragonian regiments operating in the same theatre.[1f][2a]
Organisation
The Paragonian Regiments make use of military arbitrators known as peacekeepers.[1f]
Heraldry
The colours of Paragon are purple and white.[1d] Paragonian dress uniforms are vermillion[1d]; for officers this consists of a vermillion tunic with a breastplate worn over it, with white gloves and a ceremonial sword.[1i]

These regiments were then assigned to a new battlegroup and sent out to combat the orks invading the planet Kalidar IV.[1j] Unfortunately, due to the fickle tides of the Warp, the battlegroup's arrival was delayed and their voyage instead took two years.[1c][1e]
