Pater Sin was the leader of the Chaos Cult known as the Infardi on Hagia during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.[1a]

Biography

After the Infardi seized control of Hagia, a detachment of the Sabbat Crusade led by Lord General Lugo[1b] was despatched to retake the planet.[1a][1b] During the Hagia campaign, Sin was present in Hagia's capital city, the Holy Doctrinopolis.[1b]

Although the Imperials made good progress capturing the city, Sin's men were able to capture Colonel Colm Corbec of the Tanith First and Only. Sin forced Corbec to watch as his fellow captive, Trooper Yael, was tortured to death in front of him, through a parody of the Nine Holy Wounds inflicted on Saint Sabbat.[1b]

Corbec was able to break free and meet up with a Tanith rescue squad led by Sergeant Gol Kolea. Although Corbec and his rescuers killed a number of the Infardi that had taken the Colonel prisoner, Sin himself had managed to escape the city.[1c] Worse for the Imperials, Sin had set a trap in the desecrated shrine that was triggered by Guardsmen of the Brevian Centennials as they attempted to retake the Citadel.[1c][1d] The trap not only destroyed the Citadel, killing many of the Brevians, but also acted as an astropathic beacon that signalled a nearby Chaos fleet. Lord General Lugo was forced to order the evacuation of the surviving Imperial forces on Hagia.[1d]

Corbec later avenged Yael by killing Sin on Herodor.[Needs Citation]

Appearance

Sin was a tall, powerfully-built human, whose entire head was covered with tattoos depicting the Emperor of Mankind being tortured by daemons, with Sin's right eye forming the Emperor's screaming mouth. His teeth were replaced with needle-sharp steel implants.[1b]
