The Pax Redemtos is a sacred document written by Thane Spriggan of Necromunda's House Cawdor, which ensured its warriors would not lawfully fight for the Redemption Cult.[1]

History

The action was forced upon him, however, after Cawdor's enemies attacked the House in mid M41, due to their fear of its rise in power. This was caused by the growing influence of the Redemption Cult, which had become increasingly popular among Necromunda's drudging classes. As the Cult and House were both extensively linked together, this in turn increased House Cawdor's power as well. The true crippling blow came, however, when an alliance of Noble Houses convinced the Planetary Governor Helmawr at that time, to petition the Ecclesiarchy to declare the Redemption a subversive cult and to enact a ban of its practice on the Hive World. If this came to pass, though, it would cause disastrous rebellions in many of Necromunda's Hives and so Thane Spriggan was forced to create the Pax Redemtos for Helmawr. While the law forever divided Cawdor's warriors, between faithfully serving it or becoming outlaws and serving the Redemption Cult, Spriggan's actions ultimately preserved his House.[1]
