Pero is an Alpha Legion Harrowmaster.[1]

History

He was assigned to kill Fabius Bile, sometime after the Horus Heresy, and though he succeeded, Pero was the only member of his Kill Team to survive the operation. Bile by that time, however, had learned to transfer his mind to back-up clones and so survived his death at Pero's hands. Later in 992.M37, Bile sought out clients for his New Men creations and reached out to the Alpha Legion, despite their prior conflicts. The Traitor Legion agreed to see these New Men in action and Pero was sent to Belial IV, to gauge their worth. Once there, the Harrowmaster engaged in mock combat trials against a group of young New Men, single handily. Though he won, Pero was impressed and knew they would be successful in the Legion's designs to have the New Men infiltrate the Imperium's Schola Progeniums. After their terms for the New Men's purchase were agreed with, the Harrowmasater tried to convince Bile to join the Alpha Legion and promised he would be protected from his enemies. Bile quickly declined, stating he did not want to give up his freedom for the Traitor Legion's so-called protection. Pero warned Bile that he may soon come to regret his decision, as the Alpha Legion had learned that Eldar were seeking out his location. The Harrowmaster then claimed that many worlds that had secretly held Bile's laboratories, had also been destroyed by the vengeful Xenos as well. While Bile thanked Pero for the warning, he would not change his mind and the Harrowmaster finally accepted this. Pero then departed with a number of young New Men, as well as their crèche-master Zargad Ket, who would watch over them until the Alpha Legion made use of them.[1]
