The Plutonians are a Radical sect of the Ordo Malleus, who have aided the Exorcists into becoming a Chapter of Daemon hunters.[1]

History

This began, during the Lord of Change Keriath's invasion of the Imperial Totem System. The Exorcists were the first force to aid the System and fought Keriath's Daemonic host on Totem IV. The Plutonians were also there, and they became aware that the Exorcists were able to somehow withstand the Warp powers of their Daemonic foes. In order to confirm their suspicions, the Plutonians planted an informant within the Exorcists' Chapter Command, in a menial position. It was this informant, that later discovered that the Exorcists Chapter Master, Enoch Trismegistus, had been temporarily possessed by Keriath. He was able to banish the Lord of Change, with the aid of the Chief Librarian Goetos and this news led the Plutonians to interrogate Enoch. This lasted for several months, as they determined if the Chapter Master was now corrupted, and as they did so, the Plutonians shared their belief that the controlled usage of daemonic possessed forces could be wielded back against Daemons. The Chapter Master was intrigued by their theories, as he had become changed by absorbing Keriath's vast intellect and Enoch could now see the genius of the Plutonians' plan. After he was declared free of taint by the Plutonians, the Chapter Master suggested they work together to test the Plutonians' theories. Using Enoch's own Chapter as hosts, the Plutonians began to create the first modern Exorcists and they continue to do so to this day.[1]
