History
Ironically, by M41, most of the details of his life were unknown. An example of this is that he was known to have been present for the trial of Magnus the Red (a likely reference to the Council of Nikaea), but it is unknown if he was an accuser or defender.[1]
Notes
- Ptolemy does not appear in Graham McNeill's later novel A Thousand Sons, depicting the Council of Nikaea; a Chief Librarian named Promus appears.[Needs Citation]
Trivia
- Ptolemy was one of Alexander the Great's generals who, after Alexander's death, founded the Ptolemaic dynasty of Egypt and made many contributions to the city of Alexandria, including its Library and Museum, which became famous throughout the ancient world.
