Pyhassas was a Black Pegasi Watch Sergeant, in the Eye of Octos Watch Fortress' Company Secundus and led its fourth squadron.[1b]

History

The Watch Company was commanded by Captain Daox Glykas, who joined his forces with those of Inquisitor Athocles Van Roth in M42. The Inquisitor then used this combined strike force to defend himself, as he sought to master using Baddkrasha's Crown on the Ork and Tyranid infested Maiden World Veloria. However using the Xenos device, drew numerous Ork warships to the Crown's location. Their fleet retreated to avoid being destroyed, but Van Roth came up with a plan to allow his forces to escape. For it to succeed though, it would require them to work with Eldar, they discovered had been left stranded on Veloria. When Glykas later told his Watch Company of this, many were against working with the Xenos. Glykas was ultimately swayed to follow Van Roth's plan by the Librarian Heathobar. Doing so, the Psyker explained, would give them the best chance to prevent the Orks from reclaiming the Crown, which the Watch Company had first taken from King Mek Baddkrasha. With the decision made, Glykas would take a portion of the Watch Company, to aid Van Roth and the Eldar. Meanwhile, Heathobar was given command of another portion of the Company and possession of the Crown itself. He was to use it, to lure the newly arrived Orks into the numerous Tyranid swarms on Veloria. Pyhassas, meanwhile, was among the forces that would aid the Eldar in destroying their wrecked Haven Spire Space Station. Its destruction would block the passage to Van Roth's camp and give his forces more time to be evacuated.[1a]

The forces of Van Roth, Glykas and the Eldar then separated into groups in order to better increase their chances, as the Haven Spire was infested with Tyranids. Pyhassas joined the Inquisitor's group and ultimately only they were able to reach and activate the Haven Spire's self-destruct sequence. When they emerged from the wreckage, though, they discovered that Van Roth's camp was already being overrun by Orks. Pyhassas then tried to reach Glykas and the other members of the Watch Company, but received no response. With the Inquisitor's fleet also being overwhelmed, none of Van Roth's forces were able to escape from the Maiden World.[1a]
