Questor (Munitorum)
This article is about the Munitorum Officer. For other uses of Questor, see Questor (disambiguation). |
A Questor is an Adeptus Administratum Adept, charged with the oversight of punishments, work quotas and equipment distribution within the Munitorum.[1]
Overview
The vast and unforgiving organisation of the Departmento Munitorium is charged with the relentless task of keeping the Imperium’s armed forces supplied with all manner of necessary equipment, from starship plasma-cores to bootlaces and bullets. This role requires unimaginably complex logistical effort and administration. To assist in this, the role of questor, who provide unflinching oversight and ruthless control over the Munitorum personnel, has been introduced. Questors rigidly enforce discipline and work quotas, and remain vigilant for signs of rebellion or malcontent within their staff.[1]
Often targeted by thieves and aggrieved workers, questors have a justified reputation of dourness, a lack of humour and warranted paranoia. Their life is neither safe nor pleasant, but the attention to detail and arbitrary judgment required from their position create a highly valuable skillset. This had led to some questors being inducted into the ranks of the Inquisition, though their new role rarely offers improved safety or stability.[1]
