Ravenor is the first novel in the the Ravenor (Novel Series) by Dan Abnett, following the investigations of Ordo Xenos Inquisitor Gideon Ravenor, a former protege of Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn.

Cover Description

When his body is hideously damaged in an enemy attack, it looks as though Inquisitor Gideon Ravenor's promising career would be abruptly brought short. Now, encased in a life support sytem that keeps him alive but forever cuts him off from the physical world, Ravenor utilises his formidable mental powers to continue his investigations. Along with his retinue of warriors and assassins, Gideon Ravenor fights to protect an Imperium he can no longer see, hear or feel.

Summary

After being crippled in the Thracian Primaris atrocity, Gideon Ravenor has been confined to a suspensor chair, but his mind and his psychic powers are as strong as they ever were. With his retinue he travels to the Helican subsector to investigate the illicit trade in xenos-tained narcotics, but uncovers an insidious plot that goes as high as the Governor's office.
