Repository World
A Repository World is a classification for worlds which have been completely converted into giant warehouses for the Imperium's products and resources.[1]
Overview
Much of the labor on these worlds is done by automated cargo-haulers and servitors, but they most undergo constant maintenance to ensure they work properly. Failure to do so can lead to the loss of millions of tonnes of valuable resources - as malfunctioning loader-Servitors will blankly continue to pile containers upon containers creating mountains of unmarked cargo. Should corruption or decay infect the logic routines of a Servitor workforce, portions of the world could even be transformed into industrial deathtraps filled with toxic gases and deranged, malfunctioning automatons. Regardless of maintenance, though, every Repository Worlds' deepest levels contain forgotten shipments dating back thousand of years. These ancient containers will be packed with all manner of ephemera, that will likely never see the light of day.[1]
