Saviour Pods are small coffin-like Imperial escape crafts, that are intended for use in emergencies. They can be found on the Imperium's spaceships[2], Marauder Bombers[3] and Submersibles.[1a]

Submersible Saviour Pods

Several Saviour Pods are placed next to each other within Submersibles and each has room for at least two people. They are accessed through high set, quick-slam hatches and are equipped with buoys and compression-change valves[1a]. Once activated, their residual power, is used to flush out water from the Pods' compartments and turn on their flotation systems and motors. These motors will then propel the Savior Pods to the surface, where its occupants can be rescued. Submersible Pods, though, contain limited amounts of power to supply the motors' batteries with[1b]. Their oxygen tanks also provide a limited amount of breathable atmosphere and are attached to the pods' side exteriors.[1c]

Marauder Bomber Saviour Pods

Marauder Bombers have one armored Saviour Pod installed, which is placed behind a sealed door. It has enough belted seats for the fightercraft's entire crew and when the release button within the Pod is pressed, explosive bolts ignite around its base. This hurls the Pod away from the Marauder and if its in an atmosphere, the explosions will cause the Savior Pod to tumble, until its retro jets activate. Upon doing so, and if given enough time, the Pod will stabilize its fall and use the jets to land.[3]
