The Snarl of the Wolf is a unique Astartes chainsword and a relic of the Blood Ravens Chapter. It first saw service in during the Cleansing of Jameson Reach, where the Blood Ravens 3rd Company was deployed to reclaim a world that emerged at the edge of the Maelstrom, after millennia of isolation caused by warp storms. It takes its name from its distinctive sound, likened to that of a hungry wolf.[1]
During the Aurelian Crusade, the weapon was available for the use of Assault Squad Sergeant Thaddeus.
