Sorael was the Master of the Dark Angels' Fourth Company at the beginning of the 13th Black Crusade.[1] He was presumably succeeded by the current Master of the Fourth Company, Korahael.[2]

Biography

Sorael was a Sergeant in 960.M41 when the Wolf Guard Ragnar Blackmane violated the honour duel of the Lion and the Wolf by killing Company Champion Harrad after the champion had drawn first blood.[1a] Sorael felt compelled by honour to challenge Ragnar to a Duellum Dolor — a duel to the death - although he fully expected to lose.[1b] Before the duel could be fought, both the Dark Angels and Space Wolves were forced to flee when a larger Night Lords fleet arrived in the Endymion Cluster.[1c]

On Cadia 49 years later, Sorael and Ragnar, now both Captains, fought their duel. Ragnar defeated Sorael, severing his sword arm, but refused to kill the Dark Angel. Sorael initially insisted that Ragnar finish the duel by killing him, but eventually agreed to yield and fight beside Ragnar at Kasr Belloc.[1d] He was presumably killed shortly after and succeeded by the current Master of the Fourth Company, Korahael.[2]
