Soylens viridians

Soylens viridians is a generic term given to a wide variety of tasteless foodstuffs that can be made from various different ingredients.^[1a] It is apparently favoured by the Adeptus Mechanicus.^{[1b][1c][2a][2b]}

According to Inquisitor Amberley Vail, the main ingredient of soylens viridians is reconstituted pulses, which can cause gastrointestinal distress.^[2c]

• Soylens viridians is a reference to the 1973 film Soylent Green, where the titular food in said film is made of repurposed human flesh. There is a food in the Imperium that is actually made from that ingredient called Corpse-Starch, though the two are separate foodstuffs. In the video game Necromunda: Hired Gun though, the soylens viridians on Necromunda is strongly implied to be made with human meat.
