Symeon Noctis
Symeon Noctis is a Probator of the Hive World Alecto's Enforcers and is stationed in the Nearsteel district of its sprawling Hive city, Varangantua.[1]
He attempts to atone for his , but is constantly mocked by other Enforcers for being the scion of a wealthy family. Noctis pays them back with his insouciant charm[1a] and attempts to atone for his past sins by championing the powerless of Nearsteel[1]. This task is made more difficult however, due to Nearsteel laying close to the Adeptus Mechanicus enclave Steelmound. The Mechanicus' holds jurisdiction over the ground Steelmound lays upon and they are separated from Nearsteel by a narrow band of area between them. Because of this, Noctis' latest homicide investigation, into the murder of a wealthy member of the district, became completed as half of the victim's cut apart body was located within the Steelmound's grounds[1a]. Due to the complicated situation, a joint-investigation between the Enforcers and Steelmound's Mechanicus was made, in order to satisfy both parties. This has led Noctis to be teamed with the Tech Priest Rho-1 Lux[1], a situation that has made him very uncomfortable. Due to a past case that ended badly, Noctis' right arm and shoulder are Bionic and looking upon a member of the Mechanicus, reminds him that he has lost part of his humanity.[1a]
