What on Holy Terra is the deal with this page? - a list of "Newsletters" without any explanation of what these are meant to represent? For one of the most important events in the "modern" 40k universe this page is utterly shameful. Any suggestions and help for clean-up of this page would be greatly appreciated Thelemur 07:55, 25 November 2011 (CET)

First a list of applicable sources needs to be compiled.--Proteus77 08:07, 25 November 2011 (CET)

Then, depending on who has access to which one, the rewriting of certain sections can be parsed out.--Proteus77 08:08, 25 November 2011 (CET)

In the german Lexicanum we had a similar project rewriting the Space Marine-article. We copied the whole content to the discussion-page and rewrote the article over there completely, according to the best sources we had. Anything without proper footnotes afterwards was simply left out. Sadly, not everybody joined the project, so infos from some sources are still missing. --DetlefK 10:31, 25 November 2011 (CET)
I'd be willing to write up a long summary, I can't find a source to cite though. Codex: Eye of Terror only goes up to the invasion of Cadia and leaves out details that are in the newsletters. That's my main problem right now.--Harriticus
And why you can't use the newsletters? --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 19:11, 25 November 2011 (CET)
Agreed, the newsletters appear to be legitimate sources, but the layout of the article is wrong, arranged as a series of summaries of each newsletter (or worse, cut-and-paste), without any cohesion.--Proteus77 19:30, 25 November 2011 (CET)
The Newsletters writing style may be hard to convert to a narrative form but I'll give it a shot the best I can. Expect something in the next few days. --Harriticus
I am not sure what you mean with narrative style. We need sth matter-of-fact, precise. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 22:24, 25 November 2011 (CET)
Well I meant that the newsletters are a first person perspective and for the purpose of this article needs to be converted into a third person one. Usually it's third person in a Codex or whatever to third person. In any regard in the next few hours I'll have something written out.--Harriticus
Wow! That was damn quick - I was still rummaging through my old issues of White Dwarf to find info to start work on the page, I look up a few minutes later and the page is totally rebuit! Much respect Harriticus Thelemur 01:32, 26 November 2011 (CET)
Since I was too slow to contribute to the main article :P, I'll try and fill in the fluff on some of the guard regiments covered in WD 282-289 over the weekend Thelemur 06:02, 26 November 2011 (CET)

Ultramarines Honour Company

The Ultramarines fielded an "Honour Company", not the Honour Guard, which is what is currently linked to this article.

The Ultramarines Honour Company is a company size (roughly 100 marines) Space Marine formation consisting of Ultramarines and their successor chapters.
