Minor Characters

I'm curious as to what people think what (if anything) should be done about the minor characters that belong to this Legion in its various forms? Thinking specifically of the other Pre-Heresy characters, like the lesser Captains and so on, that wouldn't get much more than a paragraph written about them due to dearth of information. The People category does have some short entries, but on the other hand I noticed that the Gaunt's Ghosts entry has a list of minor characters. Is there desire to see these lesser Black Legion characters get an entry at all, and if so how would it be best placed? Thanks Mob 19:01, 2 June 2007 (CEST)

They all need an entry really of some sort, it depends how many there are. You could either put a little list with subheadings for each or if there are many you could create an article, something like Black Legion Lesser Characters or something. --Jonru 13:22, 3 June 2007 (CEST)
Just going to add them to the character list in the article at the moment and see how we get on, as other Legions currently have longer notable character lists. If it gets judged too long /unwieldy later I'll switch it to an article of minor characters. Thanks. --Mob 13:06, 10 June 2007 (CEST)

Layout

Expanded the article a fair bit and thought it would read better with a layout change. On the right lines, or bad idea?--Mob 10:40, 13 June 2007 (CEST)

That looks an awful lot better than it did before. Excellent work! :) --Jonru 11:00, 13 June 2007 (CEST)

Luna Wolves post heresy army

I was wondering that if the loyal Luna Wolves who returned to Luna wolves after the Horus heresy would be a standard space marine army. They were space marines through and through, and they went against them, plus i really wanna field my army as Luna wolves, but when i tried it originally, my opponent yelled at me saying they were pre heresy and i wasn't using the rules. But these soldiers never had chaos taint. So wouldnt they be space marines? not chaos?

I believe there was only one wolf who returned to Terra (kruze?) and there would not have been sufficient gene-seed available to restart a legion from just one man (including the gene-seed stocks (it requires at least a company (aka 100 men minimum) in chapter form), assuming most of them survived i would think). If you are looking to do a Lunar Wolves army then perhaps you could copy their colours and give them a different name. I think it unlikely that the Imperium would create a new army of Lunar Wolves when the old one turned traitor, they would rather just expunge them from the records and bury it for all time. Good luck with your army though!--Jonru 18:18, 19 November 2007 (CET)

Horus alive?

I always wondered is it possible that horus lived since the world eaters took his body. i always thought he might reincarnate into a massive daemon or something. If hes back do you think he will kill abbadon and take control or would he build a new legion

It is completly impossible. The Emperor utterly obliterated Horus' soul. However the corpse of Horus was indeed recuperated by Abaddon afterwards. It was kept in the new homebase of the Sons of Horus inside of the Eye of Terror. However the Sons of Horus managed to turn all the other Chaos Space Marine Legions against them (they were so truly nice, utterly humble, and very polite chaps). In the war that followed, the base was conquered and the corpse stolen by the Emperor's Children if I'm not mistaken. They created clones of Horus to spite the Sons. Enraged the Sons re-grouped under the leadership of Abbadon who gave them new colours, and new name (Black Legion) and then destroyed all the clones and the remaining corpse(s).
As for you second question I must confess that I thought upon the same issues and reached the following conclusions: Horus had recovered his sanity as he was saw the battered and broken Emperor. The Emperor still choose the safest path for humanity and destroyed his best friend Horus (with Horus' tacit agreement). A surviving/resurected and sane Horus would probably protect humanity from his old followers and kill Abbadon and fight against the forces of chaos. A bitter Horus could choose exile. An enraged Horus would take Abbadons place.
Notice that AFAIK the souls of the other Primarchs (loyalists and traitors) were not obliterated. It is conceivable that the souls can be re-born in new bodies. Irulan 22:54, 29 February 2008 (CET)

Luna Wolves Miniatures pic

Not really keen on this picture; the low res and (I presume) non-official origins make it's worth to the article questionable. Thoughts on keeping/removing? --Mob 15:20, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Sons of Horus Separation

Should the Sons of Horus page still link to Black Legion. After reading the The Talon of Horus (Novel), it quite apparent that the Sons of Horus and Black Legion, while connected, are two separate, distinct legions.

They're too interlinked and there's too much overlapping information. Would be very redundant. The differences should be emphasized in the article proper.--Harriticus (talk) 19:09, 12 January 2018 (MST)
I agree with Harriticus that in cases such as this one the overlap would be too big and the issue can be better portrayed in one article (at least until additional material changes the situation fundamentally). --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 03:42, 17 January 2018 (MST)
After studying, I actually agree with OP. The Black Legion are a seperate entity. They are a conglomeration of all the legions, not the Sons of Horus. They could be seen as a successor of the Sons of Horus, but there should be a line. Its mentioned in one of the novels even that the Black Legion are not the Sons of Horus.TheNuclearSoldier (talk)
If you feel strongly enough then I'd be fine with you making them separate. It'd be a lot of work though. Harriticus (talk) 05:20, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
