new page here - List of Chaos Space Marine Warbands

Origin?

In Codex:CSM(6th) there is long list of Excommunicate Traitoris that have already been added here I see.. though shouldn't the original loyalist chapter name be written in "origin" slot?--Remos 22:17, 3 December 2012 (CET)

You are right on that. Let's see who breeds the most traitors ;-) --DetlefK 23:01, 3 December 2012 (CET)

What was the purpose of “reformating” the page into 1 giant table that just makes it harder to edit and add new war bands? Harriticus (talk) 20:38, 20 April 2023 (UTC)

I don't understand how this makes future editing harder. It's still everything in the same order except instead split across 20ish small tables, it's one uniform one. Even before I changed the table formatting on it, the Loyal Space Marine Chapters (List) page was one single block as well. (I apologize for the accidental wiping of. I pasted information on the wrong page and attempted to hit the Undo button in the revision history page. Must have not gone through before I went back to my job). Additionally, I had planned to use similar formatting across all the desperately formatted list pages to add a layer of sitewide uniformity, if it not against the admins' wishes Rooroom48 (talk) 01:17, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
because now when I have to add a new war band, I have to scroll to its alphabetical place in a huge list instead of quickly finding it via the previous method 02:56, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
Use Crtl+F to quickly navigate a page alphabetically

That, to me, sounds like the difference between "scroll to spot, click edit, add" and "click edit, scroll to spot, add". The loyalist page, among others, has had similar formatting since September 2020 when KazilDarkeye did almost the exact same as I did without the need of a talk page. All I did was attempt to introduce more of a standard look across list pages. However, if the administration decides against such a task, I'll convert them to a format of their choosing instead. You'll soon find out that on the Lexicanum, hurting someone's feelings is all it takes for whatever improvement you did, to be undone, since there is no editorial direction besides "source stuff", so everyone is left to its wits.
Anyway, good job on attempting to make a making a common style of list on the Lexi, a vast undertaking that is sorely needed. However, i advise you add a sortable tag to long listings. You can find an example of a sortable list on the Primarch page.

Thanks! Turns out the sorting button was there but just wasn't visible for some reason, I used the code from the Primarch page to help trouble shoot why, I'll go back and fix the others I've done too. Rooroom48 (talk) 16:10, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
