Question: Uhm, is there more then 1 chaplain per chapter? or is it just 1 chaplain. I always wondered, it was never made clear. -Nikolas

Usually there's one per company. But at least more than one.--Genestealer, Magus 04:09, 11 January 2009 (CET)
The numbers may vary with each chapter depending on their doctrines. There's usually some sort of Master Chaplain in charge, and he or other senior chaplains handle the most ancient rites/rituals in their chapter.--Vindicta 04:10, 11 January 2009 (CET)

Man or God?

It seems that the "Space Marines only see the Emperor as a man" idea introduced in 4th edition has been removed in the Chaplain section in the current 5th edition Codex. In 2nd edition the Space Marines worshiped the Emperor as a god like everyone else. In 4th He was for some reason changed to being seen as just a man. Now in 5th edition the book (unless I missed something) it is silent on the issue. I added a line to demonstrate this back and forth by GW.--Master of Sanctity 05:46, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Iron Father

It says that the Iron Father furfill the role of chaplain, techmarine, AND apothecary, yet, on the page itself, about the Iron Father, it only mentions chaplain and techmarine as the combination. I've only heard that it's a combination of chaplain and techmarine, so what's the deal with apothecary? anyone?
