This article only briefly alights to the later half of the Daemonfuge novels, if even that. It ends at the first story ark-ie Silas Hand-, with the line "currently being hunted by the ordo malleus" either refering to the next ark, or the last ark of the story where she is hunted by Hand's acolyte. It doesn't say anything about her links to the Eldar, her profound pychic powers, encounters with Ahriman, etc.Wyrmalla 18:25, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Sources

As with the Silas Hand page one of the source pages no longer exists. Here is an archived version of that page: http://web.archive.org/web/20080411104905/uk.games-workshop.com/witchhunters/villainy-infamy/2/Wyrmalla 18:25, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Imprisoned at the Convent Prioris or Ophelia VII?

The article says that Ephrael Stern was "held in a cell in the Convent Prioris on Ophelia VII" however, unless this changed again at some point, the Convent Prioris is on Terra. Can anyone familiar with the books clarify which is correct; either the Convent Prioris on Terra, the Convent Sanctorum on Ophelia VII, or is this a Canon Conflict? -- Haravikk (talk) 15:17, 15 January 2018 (MST)

-At least the second page of the first strip in WHM says "Convent Prioris, TERRA". --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 15:21, 15 January 2018 (MST)

I can confirm Demonifuge uses the exact phrasing "Convent Prioris on Ophelia VII". So possible canon conflict or simple error- I do believe Ophelia VII is the intent. ZeroSD (talk) 16:24, 15 January 2018 (MST)
I'm pretty sure each order has a convent prioris and it isn't just one for all of the sisters because they are unique groups. It just means primary convent and would be the HQ of their order. The pages saying that there are only two "convents" ignores what a convent is, which is a house with nuns/sisters, and each of their offices is a convent. The convent pages here aren't cited and they don't seem to be based on any of the Sisters of Battle books. That being said, three of the major orders are based on Terra and the other three are based on Ophelia, with Ephrael's being based on Opelia. Midnight Sun (talk) 19:00, 15 January 2018 (MST)
Actually there is only one Convent Prioris and one Convent Sanctorum, with three orders based out of each, under the overall leadership of a Prioress (this is described in the 2nd edition codex, you can see the diagram from that here) . The Convent Sanctorum on Ophelia VII is shared by the Order of the Bloody Rose, Order of Our Martyred Lady, and Order of the Valorous Heart, though they each operate their own preceptories on other worlds. It gets a bit confusing because sisters of any order can reside at either convent, but each order was founded at, and is based out of, one specific convent. The background isn't clear how they're actually structured, e.g- each order could have its own buildings and training areas etc., but they're all one convent as far as the main sources, like the 2nd edition codex, are concerned.
Anyway, it seems like the Convent Sanctorum is what was intended, since that's where the Order of Our Martyred Lady is based, but if Daemonifugue specifically states Convent Prioris then perhaps it should be listed as a Canon Conflict? -- Haravikk (talk) 10:36, 16 January 2018 (MST)
That chart doesn't say there is only one. It is a general scheme. That isn't how organizational charts work. Look at the game charts that say HQ and then Troops underneath - is there only one HQ unit ever? No. It just shows what is above it. Plus, you are using books that have been since replaced with clearer language. You would have noticed that the source was not legitimate to impose a structure on these pages by noticing that "prior" is on the right, providing it a non-primary spot and defeating the whole purpose of the word. 2nd edition codex: "All of the Orders of the Sisterhood are divided between the two principles worlds of Terra and Ophelia VII. The Adepta Sororitas have an extensive Convent on each of these planets, which are home to members of all Orders.", "When Sebastian Thor ascended to the rank of Ecclesiarch there were roughly 4,000 Daughters of the Emperor under his command. Upon founding the Adepta Sororitas these warriors were split between the Convents on Ophelia VII and Terra (the Convent Sanctorum and Convent Prioris respectively). With recruits passing through the hands of the Schola Progenium once again, the Adepta Sororitas’ ranks soon grew to over 10,000 fighters and the Ecclesiarch succeeding Thor (Ecclesiarch Alexis XXII) split each of the Convents into two Orders apiece, founding the Orders Militant of the Argent Shroud, Ebon Chalice, Fiery Heart and Valorous Heart.".
7th edition ePub codex: "Following Sebastian Thor’s Reformation, the newly founded Adepta Sororitas were split between the Convent Prioris on Holy Terra and the Convent Sanctorum on Ophelia VII. Both of these Convents are massive fortresses housing tens of thousands of Sisters."
Sorry, but it seems clear that these are two specific convents, and that's what the organisational chart shows. I have no idea why the Convent Prioris is on the right of the chart, except that for some reason that's the order they're often mentioned in within the rest of the codex as well, even though the Convent Prioris is on Terra so would seem more important. -- Haravikk (talk) 11:12, 16 January 2018 (MST)
Your insistence on calling it a "2nd edition codex" instead of the first codex that was later replaced suggests that you aren't being honest here. That codex was written a decade before the book and during a time that all sorts of things were thrown down without basis. You have not responded to any of the actual points being made. This is troubling coming from a new account like yours. Midnight Sun (talk) 12:29, 16 January 2018 (MST)

Or not really a name but more of a "classification". In any case Daemonifuge also said the ecclesiarchy had warships which obviously is false, so stuff like this is not unsuprising to have happened. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 01:33, 16 January 2018 (MST)
