Hey, please help me out if you can find any other references

Further research is needed. Your best bet is the following:

1) Trace the story back to the wikipedia site. Find the sources they used.
2) Trace these sources back to their true material. Very often, Wikipedia citations are wrong, although the original source is true and does exist. Most often, they simply got the issue number of White Dwarf wrong.
3) Do NOT, I repeat NOT, simply add the source from the wikipedia. Find it on here, add it if it doesn't exist. If you do not have time to find the source, then do not add material.
Sorry, but I'm not your research specialist- if I accept such a duty, that means that I'll have to research every word you say and am held accountable for it. Do your own research. --Lygris 15:30, 17 September 2008 (CEST)
Looks like there is one more space marine chapter with genetical mutation, I remember I had read of them somewhere in the Lexicanum, the battle brothers had bone-like protutions on their foreheads and elbows, and tend to use them as deadly melee weapons. If I happen to find them, I will add them to your article. --Tonicquill 21:46, 17 September 2008 (CST)
The something Dragons, if I recall. --Lygris 15:37, 17 September 2008 (CEST)
The Black Dragons. --Lygris 15:38, 17 September 2008 (CEST)
Yes, that's the one, in my browsing for mutated gene seeds, I found a few more chapters other than the ones we most likely already know. See below

Chapters with known gene-seed flaws

  • Black Dragons : External bony protutions at forehead, fore-arms, and elbows, used as weapons.
  • Blood Angels: Black Rage and the Red Thirst.
  • Imperial Fists: Missing Betcher's Gland and Sus-an Membrane.
  • Space Wolves: Enlarged canine teeth and Mark of the Wulfen.
  • Raven Guard: Missing Mucranoid and Betcher's Gland. Pale skin and dark eyes.
  • Blood Ravens:can't experience R.E.M. sleep and have perfect recall.
  • Minotaurs :The Adeptus Mechanicus gene-adepts have been unable to determine the source of the Minotaurs original gene-seed, although the characteristics of their gene-seed seems to be inherent of the White Scars gene-stock. The Minotaurs gene-seed has obviously suffered some mutations from the original seed that was given to them. The hostile conditions of their lives, coupled with the rituals and practices of the chapter changed them drastically. Most notably is that they are quick to anger and slow to forgive past transgressions. They tend to be overzealous when dispensing the Emperor’s will. They’re brutal and vicious, following closely the tenet of “might makes right”. These apparent aberrations most likely occurred when the genetic material from the Minos tribesman was introduced. The genome of the Minotaurs gene-seed seems to have inherited their savagery and thirst for battle.
I suggest we keep this information in this discussion section first rather than the actual article itself, till we have collected more information. --Tonicquill 21:58, 17 September 2008 (CST)
The Lamenters succeeded in removing the Red Thirst and Black Rage from their blood line. That's another to look at. --Lygris 15:50, 17 September 2008 (CEST)

Greetings

Well, first things first. Sourcing. Each paragraph/sentence whatever needs sourcing otherwise we don't know where each piece of information comes from. This is in itself a major job and should be completed before any further work is done on the article. I'm about to read it through properly but it looks like a good start :)--Jonru 21:14, 18 September 2008 (CEST)

Second view - maybe you already know this but the vast majority appears to be from red fury, Index Astartes IV doesn't appear to have anything about it at all. The Raven Guard bit is from there however. I don't have the book myself but I can help with organisation etc. :)--Jonru 21:43, 18 September 2008 (CEST)

I believe the first paragraph is misleading. Iirc Replicae is another word for cloning in the novel, not "a means of creating Space Marine warriors". --Digganob 17:36, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
