The Hunt of Vengeance began shortly after the White Scars Chapter's Primarch, Jaghatai Khan, disappeared into the Webway while pursuing Dark Eldar that had infested the Yasan Sector in M33. When the Primarch did not re-appear, a Great Hunt was declared and the White Scars and their Successor Chapters scoured the Sector and beyond for Jaghatai Khan. During their search, the vengeful Space Marines attacked any Eldar faction they came across without warning or mercy for signs of their Primarch, but despite their efforts no trace of him was ever found.[1]
