The True Sons of Cthonia were an irregular Sons of Horus formation, more concerned with their Legion's culture and honor than the wider war effort of the Horus Heresy.[1]

History
They were formed during the Horus Heresy by Captain Vheren Ashurhaddon, who led them to free the Sons of Horus' Homeworld, Cthonia, from the Imperiums' grasp.[1] This was effort was mainly motivated by a sense of culture-bound honor among Ashurhaddon and his followers,[1][2] as they chose to focus on Cthonia instead of joining the majority of the Sons of Horus in taking part in the Siege of Terra.[2]
