Warhammer 40,000: Wargear was a 2nd Edition rulebook which provided background and rules on a large number of weapons which could be used in the game. The number of weapons was revised compared to 1st Edition.

The book is broken down into a number of sections, including both weapons and equipment such as armour, shields and other wargear. It included not just Imperial equipment, but also that of the Orks, Eldar and Squats.
