Zincali VI is a world of the galaxy. Its atmosphere is saturated with spores capable of feeding off flesh, alive or dead - without protection, an unaugmented human could not survive for more than a minute before being infested and turned into a plantlike colony.[1]

History

At one point the planet became a battleground between the forces of the Imperium and Chaos. A detachment of Imperial Fists Space Marines led by Captain Demetros and supported by the Astra Militarum faced the hordes of the Chaos Lord H'raxor.[1]

During the conflict, a warband of the Black Legion led by Captain Scaevolla arrived on Zincali VI, drawn to the planet by a vision. Scaevolla was hunting for the gene-seed descendants of Aleph to fulfill a Chaos oath that he swore during the Siege of Terra. Once he determined that Demetros was his target, the Black Legion fought through H'raxor's army, breaching the city that H'raxor was attempting to break open and engaging the defenders. Scaevolla dueled against Demetros and slew him, claiming the Captain's head. He would go on to present his trophy before the Altar of the Four Gods on Sebaket.[1]

Trivia

Notes

  • Note 1: In the short story Honour Among Fiends, Scaevolla speculated that the inhabitants of Zincali VI harvested protein from the spore-rich mists of the planet and exported it to Imperial outposts, making Zincali VI an Agri World (albeit a fairly unusual one). This is never explicitly confirmed, however.[1]
